Breakfast at Tiffany's
My husband has just joined the Air Force Reserves and has been away this weekend doing his duty and all that. Consequently I had unfettered access to the remote control last night. I decided I'd watch Breakfast at Tiffany's again, one of those movies in my collection that he's not fond of but that I always enjoy watching through again, if for no other reason than to admire how good Audrey looks in that dress, the black one she’s wearing at the opening credits as she eats a bagel in front of the Tiffany's window. Absolutely gorgeous. It got me thinking about my favourite movie dresses of all time.
1. Audrey Hepburn – Breakfast at Tiffany’s
2. Kate Winslett – Titanic. Pretty much anything she wore in that movie, but especially the dress she almost takes with her into the Atlantic before Leo talks her off the ledge.
3. Marilyn Munroe – not the white dress. I’m not actually that fond of the white dress. I always liked the hot pink strapless satin number from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (later recreated by an 80’s Madonna in her Material Girl filmclip. A trivia digression).
4. Julia Roberts – The red evening dress from Pretty Woman, when Richard Gere snaps at her white-gloved hand with the jewelry box in very cutsie fashion.
5. Carrie Ann Moss – The Matrix Trilogy. Because a girl can’t always wear a dress and no one messes with a woman in a long leather coat.

Hope you're having a good weekend. It sounds to me like Princess Two is not going to nap for the second day in a row and I have fear for my sanity, not to mention my writing career, if I don't get some time with the WIP.
Cheers,
Sami
